Arnfield Cabin
The above photos are of Arnfield Clough leading up to Robinson`s Moss. It is a pleasent boulder scramble starting at below Arnfield Cabin. The clough is 1.2 Kms. long and winds it`s way up with steep sides. I think it has more large boulders than any other clough in the Dark Peak area. The height gain is about 150 Mtrs. The last photo shows the view down to Arnfield Cabin. It took John and me about an hour to meander to the top enjoying the little water falls through the boulders. Don`t attempt it during heavy rain or when the water flow is high. A trickle can turn into a torrent in a very short time !! If you try it let me know what you think in my comments box on the Home Page.
